Daily Shift
One observation. One reflection. One question.
Every morning, before the day fills with meetings, headlines and notifications, Daily Shift offers something different. It takes about a minute to read.
A different way of being noticed.
- One observation drawn from everyday life.
- One reflection on what it might reveal.
- One question worth carrying into the day.
It takes about a minute to read.
Not because the world needs more content, but because it sometimes needs a different way of being noticed.
Almost 3,000 pages of noticing.
In March 2020, when the pandemic disrupted almost everything familiar, I started recording what I noticed. Not because I planned to publish it, but because I was trying to understand what that disruption revealed.
Over the following six years, those observations filled almost 3,000 pages. Daily Shift is built from that archive.
Each edition begins with something ordinary — a conversation, a contradiction, a place, a sentence, a passing moment — and follows it just far enough to uncover a different way of seeing it.
The same simple structure.
One observation
One reflection
One question to carry into the day
It is not designed to explain the world. It is designed to help you notice it differently.
For people who value attention.
Daily Shift is for people who value thoughtful ideas over constant information.
People who believe that paying attention is a skill.
People who understand that sometimes a single observation can stay with you longer than an entire book.
Delivered each morning by email.
